Ruinart, Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Millesime Brut 2004
This product is currently sold out.
This exceptional cuvee pays tribute to Dom Thierry Ruinart, visionary behind the foundation of the house. This rare wine, that is among the finest Champagnes, offers a outstanding tasting experience.
Dom Ruinart 2004 was composed entirely of Chardonnay Grands Crus:
69% of the Côte des Blancs (dominant Chouilly, Avize and Le Mesnil) and 31% of the northern slopes of the Montagne de Reims (dominant Sillery and Puisieulx). A perfect combination that brings this vintage a light and delicate structure.
Dom Ruinart 2004 presents a dress of bright yellow enameled pale green highlights. Its effervescence is fine and persistent.
The aroma of this vintage wine immediately reveals the sweet chestnut, coconut and fresh bread scent. Right after, uncovers the aromas of flowers (iris, lily, bitter orange) and citrus (bergamot, citron). Implicitly, it has some mineral notes (wet rock, flint) and iodine.
The delicate, light structure of this vintage, combined with a nice freshness, signature of the brand, offers the possibility of combinations with remarkable dishes with great finesse as a ceviche of sea bream to Peruvian or lobster carpaccio, lemon caviar and coriander oil.
Dom Ruinart 2004 is advantageously kept in the cellar to be enjoyed after several years of further maturation. It can then be combined with dishes with intense flavors.
